Calma pods are layered with Basotect® G+, a high-performance acoustic material that enhances soundproofing while supporting superior indoor air quality. Each surface is finished using HDF Powder Coating Technology, an industry-leading process that ensures durability with minimal environmental impact and low VOC levels — protecting both people and the spaces they inhabit.
This considered approach extends through every stage of production, guided by Nurus’ Circular Economy and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) principles. From sourcing raw materials to end-of-life design, Calma products are created to last, be reused, and be responsibly recycled.

Each Calma pod is upholstered with high-quality, sustainable fabrics certified by OEKO-TEX® and EU Eco Recycled PET standards. These textiles combine refined aesthetics with environmental mindfulness, providing long-lasting performance while supporting responsible material cycles.
Inside, felt wall coverings made from recycled materials contribute to better indoor air quality and enhance Calma’s acoustic comfort. These surfaces do more than absorb sound they embody the commitment to reducing waste and reimagining materials through sustainable innovation.
At the heart of Calma’s soundproofing lies Basotect® G+, a lightweight, high-performance material known for its exceptional acoustic absorption and eco-friendly composition. Its use ensures a superior acoustic performance with a lower environmental footprint aligning perfectly with Calma’s mission to blend comfort with consciousness.
Calma’s outer shell is finished with HDF Powder Coating Technology, offering durability with minimal environmental impact. This innovative coating system maintains healthy VOC levels for indoor air quality and features a closed-loop process that reuses paint waste, exemplifying circular production principles.

70% of total energy is generated from renewable sources, including a large rooftop solar power plant.
The facility operates with 95% vertical integration, reducing reliance on external processes and minimizing transport emissions.
In one year alone, the company recycled 235 tons of metal, 53 tons of packaging, 20 tons of polypropylene, and recovered 372 tons of wood.
